Storage Instructions
Turmeric can be easily kept fresh for several weeks when stored properly. Ideal is dry and airy storage in a light-protected place. The optimal storage temperature is approx. 12-13°C. Alternatively, fresh turmeric can also be stored in the freezer for several months. However, the roots lose aromas and colouring power over time. If the turmeric drives out small, green shoots after a long storage time, they can be safely broken off.
